Refund & Cancellation Policy

How refunds and cancellations work for iBuye Premium subscriptions.

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid iBuye services. By subscribing to iBuye Premium you agree to the terms below.

1. Subscriptions

iBuye Premium is sold as a prepaid plan for a fixed duration (for example 1 month or 3 months), in Rwandan Francs (RWF). Plans do not renew automatically - when the period ends, your account reverts to the free tier unless you subscribe again.

2. Cancelling your plan

Because plans do not auto-renew, there is nothing to cancel to stop being billed in the future. You can simply stop using the service. The Premium features you paid for remain active until the end of the period.

3. Refund eligibility

We offer refunds in the following cases:

  • 7-day money-back guarantee - first-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first Premium purchase, for any reason.
  • Service failure - if a technical issue on our side prevents you from using Premium for a meaningful period and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused days.
  • Duplicate or accidental charges - fully refunded once verified against our payment records.

4. Non-refundable cases

Refunds are not issued in the following cases:

  • Requests made after the 7-day window for any reason other than a verified service failure.
  • The unused portion of an active subscription that was used beyond the 7-day window, except in service-failure cases.
  • Accounts suspended or closed for violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Bonus days granted by coupons (e.g. WELCOME20) - only the cash amount actually paid in RWF can be refunded, not promotional days.

5. How to request a refund

Send a request through our contact form. Include:

  • The email address on your iBuye account
  • The transaction date and the amount paid (in RWF)
  • The reason for the request

We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank, card issuer, or mobile-money provider.

6. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer-protection rights you may have under Rwandan law.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
